The Red-breasted Nuthatch is one of my favorite little birds. It's small, only about 4". They are quick movers and you will often see them upside down on trees. They have blue grey upper parts, rusty red under parts. Very short tail, short legs long pointed bill.

I Christen Thee "S.S. Birds"

This is the first post. Not much to tell yet other than this isn't a blog about a ship named "Birds" it's a blog devoted to my bird illustrations or rather I should say devoted to birds and how wonderfully blessed we are to have them in our world.

I love birds. I love to look at them. I love to listen to them. I love to draw and paint them.

Oh Yes! And, my name is Sean Seal. Hence the "S.S."

I would really love it if people would comment and share stories about birds and suggest birds for me to illustrate etc.
